What do I do if a student suddenly disconnects from our session or becomes unresponsive?

There are a variety of reasons for why a student may suddenly disconnect or stop responding. In order to maintain a professional working environment and respect everyone's time, we ask you to do the following:

If a student disconnects without warning or becomes unresponsive after the session has begun, please wait in the VLC for 5 minutes before completing the session. This is to allow the student an opportunity to reconnect or re-engage within a reasonable amount of time. Once the 5 minutes has passed, you can complete the session by clicking "Complete" in the top right corner of the VLC.

In the feedback prompt, make note of the activities conducted and concepts discussed during the session and finish by stating that it was cut short when the student disconnected without warning.
