With the 'Tutor Scheduling' feature, campus tutors are now able to schedule upcoming sessions directly with students, removing the need for the student to log into Upswing and schedule the session themselves.

For more information about how your tutor's can schedule sessions with your student's, please view these articles:

With the addition of this feature, we've answered a few FAQs you may have:

1. Will all tutors automatically have the ability to schedule sessions with students?

No, not all tutors will automatically have this ability. The ability for tutors to schedule sessions with students is controlled by a user permission that can be assigned to specific groups of tutors. You can work with your HERO to enable this ability for all tutors or groups of tutors.

2. Why does the tutor see an error message when attempting to schedule with a student?

If the tutor tries to schedule a session with a student who has a conflicting session, they will see an error message and some recommended times that work for all participants. In order to select a new time, the tutor should click on one of the available times.

3. Do students need to approve the tutoring session when scheduled by a tutor?

No, student approval is not required. Tutors should be consulting directly with students when scheduling sessions.

4. Do sessions scheduled by a tutor count towards a student's allotment of tutoring hours?

Yes, these sessions do count towards a student’s allotment of tutoring hours for a given time period. If needed, an administrator can set a session limit exemption for specific students in “Tutoring Settings”.
