Why aren't students able to see my profile when they search for a tutor?

In order for students to be able to schedule tutoring sessions with you on the Upswing platform, they'll need to first be able to see your profile when they search for a course you can support, or when they search for you by name. However, in order for your profile to be viewable by students, you need to make sure it's has been set up correctly!

There are a few possible reasons that your profile may not be viewable to students, explained below:

You don't have the subjects you can support listed on your profile:

In order for students to be able to find you in a search, you need to make sure to add the courses that you're able to help with to the 'Skills' section on your profile!

You haven't added your scheduled availability to your profile:

In order for students to be able to search for you and schedule a session, you'll have to have some time scheduled as open for sessions on your calendar in Upswing. If you don't have any availability added, your profile won't be visible!

Your account hasn't been verified by an administrator / coordinator from your school:

Once you've completely set up your Upswing account, the Upswing administrator or the Tutor Coordinator from your school will need to verify your account. This is an important step so that the Upswing administrator can confirm that you're able to support the courses that you've listed on your profile. Unfortunately, there isn't a way for you to see if your account has been verified without the assistance of either an administrator from your school or the Upswing Support Team.

However, if you've verified that you've added subjects to your profile and added your availability to your calendar and your profile is still not viewable, it's possible that your account only needs to be verified.
