When and how are Upswing tutors paid?

*Please note: the information in this article only applies to tutors that are contracted by Upswing.

• Upswing issues payment biweekly on Friday. All tutors are paid via PayPal - no exceptions. If payday falls on a holiday i.e. Christmas or New Year's Day, Upswing may process tutor payroll early. 
• Upswing incurs payment fees on tutors' behalf. Therefore, if you have incurred any fees, this is likely because your PayPal account is based outside of the United States or your financial institution has levied fees.
• Ensure that your PayPal associated email address is current in your Upswing tutor profile to avoid payment issues. 
• Almost always, when a tutor fails to receive payment from Upswing, the issue is specific to the tutor's PayPal account, and in these situations, tutors should contact PayPal directly.
