Why can't I receive text message (SMS) notifications from Upswing?

Note* This article is intended only for tutors contracted with Upswing. 

Upswing can't guarantee that tutors who are based outside of the U.S. can receive text message (SMS) notifications from Upswing. International SMS communication regulations change constantly, which means that some tutors who may have once received text messages from Upswing can't any longer. 

Outside of the U.S., Upswing tutors based in Canada, India, Jamaica, Mexico, and the Philippines should be able to receive text message communication from Upswing, but this is not a certainty. 

If you are based in one of the countries that appears on the dropdown menu, and you have stopped receiving Upswing's SMS notifications, send the message "Start" or "Subscribe" to Upswing: tel:[phone]. 

If you still can't receive text messages from Upswing and your country is not represented in the drop down menu in your Upswing tutor profile, you are encouraged to rely on email notifications and ensure that you have set an appropriate buffer to avoid missing session requests.
