All students, tutors, and advisors are able to upload files to the VLC session. Once you've added a file to the whiteboard, everyone in the session will be able to see it. This is particularly useful for going over writing assignments, essay prompts and instructions, or reading materials, among other things.
Instructions
-
Select 'Upload a File'.
Click on the blue Upload a file button in the top left corner. -
Select a File.
Click on 'Select a file from your computer' to open your files, or simply drag a file into the box. -
Click 'Add to Whiteboard'.
Once you have uploaded something, click the Add to whiteboard button to confirm and it will become a page of the whiteboard. If you chose the wrong file, you can click the 'Upload a different file' button to choose a different file to upload.
Congrats! Now you know how to upload different types of files!
What types of files can I upload?
Document Files:
Document files will be converted to a background image and uploaded as a new page (each page of the document makes a new page in the VLC). These cannot be edited in any way after upload, you can only draw on them using VLC tools.
Accepted file types:
- .doc
- .xls
- .ppt
Image Files:
Image files can be resized and moved around the whiteboard page it was uploaded to.
Accepted file types:
- .png
- .jpg
- .gif
