All students, tutors, and advisors are able to share their screen with others in the VLC session. This is helpful for reviewing assignment instructions or sharing information that can't be easily uploaded to the VLC directly.
How to Share Your Screen In the VLC

Click the Share Screen Tool.
Depending on the size of your browser window, the Share Screen tool will either be on the top of the whiteboard or to the left side as shown here.
-
Give Permission to Screen Share.
The browser may ask for permission to share your screen. You'll need to grant the site permission to share your screen.
-
Select the Screen to Share.
You have the option to share a single tab, window, or your entire screen.- Sharing a single tab: If you choose to share a tab, only the content on that tab will be visible. If you open a new tab, the new tab will not be visible in the VLC.
- Sharing a window: If you choose to share a window, only the content in that window will be visible. This allows you to visit multiple tabs in the same browser. However, if you try to visit a new window, that content will not be visible in the VLC.
-
Sharing the entire screen: If you choose to share your entire screen, different tabs, windows, or applications on your computer will all be visible within the VLC.
Note: Since the Screen Share tool uses the web browser’s tools, this step will look differently depending on the web browser you're using.
-
Begin Sharing Your Screen.
Click the Share button, and a pop-up will appear to let you know you are successfully sharing your screen. Click the Got it! button in the pop-up to dismiss the window.
