In order for campus tutors to be visible to students on the Upswing platform, the tutor's account will need to be verified by an Upswing administrator. This guide provides information about tutor account verification, and the steps to take as an administrator to verify a tutor's account.
Why is Account Verification Needed?
In order to allow for administrators to have oversight into each subject campus tutors are able to assist students with, when a campus tutor adds a new subject to their profile, their account will need to be verified by an administrator. If the tutor's account is not verified, their profile will not be visible to students as they search for tutors. Account verification is also required for campus tutors to be able to schedule past sessions with students.
How to Verify a Tutor's Account within the Admin Dashboard

Access the 'User Administration' Tab in the Admin Dashboard.
After logging into the Admin Dashboard, click on 'User Administration' from the left-hand menu. Once here, make sure you have 'Users' selected in the drop-down menu below 'Select Admin Functions View:'. -
Search For the User.
In the 'User List' table, search for the user to locate their account. -
Verify the Tutor's Account.
Click the blue Verify button on the tutor's row to verify the tutor's account. If the button reads 'Deverify', the tutor has already been verified.
Now that the tutor's account is verified, they should be visible to students when they search for the tutor.
