What do I do if I can't find a tutor for the subject I need?

Here is the procedure you can take in case you aren't able to find a tutor for the source or subject you're looking for on Upswing.

Try to find a subject or course that is comparable to that subject. 

For example, if you’re looking for a course named English 202, try entering “English” or “Writing” to find a suitable substitute. Most tutors are qualified to tutor in a variety of different subjects within their field. You can also message a tutor directly to ask them whether they could help you with a specific subject.

If you can't find any subjects that you think will work, please send an email to [e-mail] and request that the subject is added. When you email us, please include the following information:

• Your full name
• Your school email address
• The name of the school you're attending
• The full name of the course you need tutoring for
