In the event that a you'll be unavailable for appointments on a day you normally would, you can set an 'Availability Exception' in your schedule. Availability exceptions are useful for advisors who need to be unavailable for appointments they have pre-programmed to be available with their recurring availability. This article provides step-by-step instructions for how to add an availability exception, and some things to note about availability exceptions.
What are Availability Exceptions?
An availability exception is a specific day and time that an advisor is not available during their typical recurring availability. Availability exceptions can be used to indicate days or periods of time when you are unavailable due to personal commitments, holidays, or other temporary circumstances.
Availability exceptions essentially 'cancel out' the recurring availability you have set on a specific day. For example, if your recurring availability shows you're available on Mondays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, you would be able to add an availability exception on Monday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, thus 'canceling out' the recurring availability for that day.
