How To Filter For Tutors by Session Date, Time, and Location

When searching for your course to find a tutor, you'll see a list of all of the tutors that are able to help. This article provides helpful instructions showing you how you can use the filters to refine the results, allowing you to find a tutor that is available for the type of session you prefer.

By using the different filters, you can find tutors with availability that meets your needs. Filters include:

• Session Date
• Session Time
• Group vs. Individual Sessions
• In-Person vs. Online Sessions
  • If you choose to filter for tutors with availability for in-person sessions, you can choose the specific location on campus, as well.

How to Filter

After searching for your course in the search bar, you'll see all of the tutors that are able to help with your course. In order to filter the results, toggle the switch next to "Filter results by date, time, type, and location to schedule a session", to make the toggle green.

 

Filter by Session Date

To filter by date, select the date you'd like to meet with a tutor on the calendar. In the example below, I've filtered for tutors available on May 6th.

Filter by Session Time

To filter for tutors available at a specific time, select the time you'd like to meet with a tutor in the drop-down next to "Time:". In the example below, I've filtered for tutors that are available for a session at 2:00PM.

Filter by Location

To filter for tutors available for in-person sessions, select "In-Person" in the drop-down menu next to "Type:". After that, you can then also provide the specific location and room where you'd like to meet with a tutor. In the example below, I've filtered for tutors available for an in-person session at the Learning Center in Room 301.

Filter by Individual Vs. Group Session

If you'd like to find tutors with availability for group tutoring sessions, click on the circle next to "Group" to see tutors available for group sessions. In the example below, I've filtered for tutors available for an online group session on May 6th.

What to do if there are no tutors available based on the filters you selected

If there aren't any tutors available based on the filters you selected, you'll see a message at the top of the screen, telling you that there aren't any tutors available, as shown in the screenshot below. If there aren't any tutors available, we recommend adjusting the filters you selected to find tutors available on a different date, time, or location!
